WHY GLASS?
-
Old meets new:
Throughout history stained glass was always a luxurious art form especially commissioned for the prestigious cathedrals and palaces.
Linking the inspiration of the old together with modern design and Riki’s “reverse hand painted” techniques, allows for a rebirth of something truly unique! -
Unique Aesthetic:
Well …firstly, because it looks beautiful!
Painting on glass allows for an ethereal
‘3D visual’ effect. As the light hits various points on the piece, the numerous layers of transparent hues peek through the glass and create an unparalleled visual experience for the viewer. -
Durability:
In addition to the unique aesthetic process, an added benefit is the durability and longevity of the artwork. Since all the artwork is created on the reverse and then sealed, it is safeguarded against oxidising, thus preserving the vibrancy of the color and quality which allows this artwork to transform into a family heirloom to be enjoyed for years to come.
-
Does it scratch?
All of Riki Glass Art is created on glass that is scratch, crack and heat resistant .. making it an exceptionally durable glass.
